Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a chronic inflammation consisted of ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease. IBD global with heavy economic burden. Coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) novel which spread rapidly becomes pandemic. This pandemic situation affects the management IBD. Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 as etiology COVID-19 requires angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE2) its receptor. ACE2 found to be abundant in gastrointestinal tract, particularly small intestine colon. causes presence symptoms interacts diseases including The diagnosis patients similar general population precautions regarding endoscopic procedure. does not increase risk for contracting nor worsen outcome COVID-19. first step managing during by implicating strict health protocol. There still controversy surgery Medications are safe except systemic corticosteroids. without should continue their medications until goal remission achieved. If asymptomatic present, corticosteroid dose lowered, tapered, stopped if available. Anti-tumor necrosis factor (TNF) administration postponed 2 weeks. manifestations exist, corticosteroid, thiopurine, methotrexate, anti-TNF discontinued. Supporting treatment can administered safely. In case relapsing, must started limitation corticosteroid.
